Big birthday for Hanks
TOM Hanks, who turns 60 on July 9, tells Entertainment Tonight he’ll mark the day quietly.
“I grew up having my birthdays in the summertime, where everybody is dispersed.”
He plans a nice nap and then “maybe a delightful can of beer.”
Doesn’t he want a surprise party? “If there is one, I’m gonna kill somebody,” he said.
But with enough warning, he said, he and his wife, Rita Wilson, might consent to hang out — quietly — if their friend Oprah Winfrey invites them.
Hanks is doing interviews to plug his movie A Hologram for the King, from a better-than-most- ofhis-stuff Dave Eggers novel.
