Re: Residential school records to be destroyed (Oct. 7)
I know that these records are deeply personal, deeply painful and deeply private. However, I ask those thinking about having them destroyed to think about one thing.
Today, less than 100 years after the end of the Second World War, there are people denying the Holocaust happened or trying to deny the numbers of people murdered. They do this because there are so few remaining survivors alive and so many individual stories went undocumented.
