Winnipeg Free Press - - NEWS -

WINNIPEG police are looking for witnesses to two serious collisions that took place on Saturday night.

Const. Rob Carver said on Sunday that speed is believed to have been a factor in the first collision.

Carver said two women are in stable condition after they were rushed to hospital.

Their vehicles collided at Henderson Highway and McLeod Avenue around 8:45 p.m.

In the second collision, Carver said a 20-year-old man had got off a transit bus and was crossing Plessis Road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle around 9:20 p.m.

Carver said the man was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but he has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The man was not crossing at a controlled intersection.

Anyone who witnessed either collision is asked to call the central traffic unit at 204-986-6271.
