Re: Pipelines and politics (Letters, April 13) and What defines our ‘national interest’? (April 12)

Peter Kaufmann’s response to Peter Denton’s article hits the mark when facts come into play as opposed to Peter Denton’s green rhetoric, which generally is just opinion.

Interestingly, no one has addressed the amount of money that has been contributed to the “tax base” to pay the bills from all the “billions” that has been spent on so-called “green” energy projects.

With the forthcoming carbon tax, the funds will end up in the same place, as well as in general revenues to fund government expansion. Real money funds real needs, while ideological rhetoric funds self-serving platitudes.
