8 charged fol­low­ing RCMP drug raids in north­ern

Eight peo­ple face charges af­ter Thomp­son and Nor­way House RCMP of­fi­cers ex­e­cuted three sep­a­rate and un­re­lated search war­rants at res­i­dences lo­cated in Thomp­son,

Paint Lake Pro­vin­cial Park and Nor­way House, Man.

On Thurs­day, of­fi­cers searched a res­i­dence in Thomp­son and seized around 58 grams of co­caine along with drug traf­fick­ing para­pher­na­lia. A 41-year-old woman and a 31-yearold man, both from Thomp­son, were ar­rested for pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing. The pair are due to ap­pear in court on Dec. 21 in Thomp­son.

The fol­low­ing day, of­fi­cers searched a res­i­dence in Paint Lake Pro­vin­cial Park and seized around 263 grams of co­caine and 76 grams of crack co­caine along with sev­eral pel­let guns. Forty-five-year-old Ni­cole Pye and 45-year-old Ty­rone Pye, both from Liz Lake, have been ar­rested and charged with drug traf­fick­ing and re­manded in cus­tody.

On Satur­day, of­fi­cers searched a res­i­dence in Nor­way House and seized a quan­tity of metham­phetamine along with drug traf­fick­ing para­pher­na­lia. Two males, ages 28 and 58, and two fe­males, ages 51 and 58, all from Nor­way House, were ar­rested at scene. Charges are pend­ing.
