At the front of the pack in the 100 km course, Tamas Karlowitsjuhász of Hungar y and Saf re y Sumping of Sabah were racing neck-to-neck for the first half of the course before Tamas started to pull away and eventually took the line honours with Safrey in the runner up position. In the women's 100 km category, local sisters Adelinah Pado and Jassica Lintanga took first and second place. The next BUTM is scheduled for February 2017 with registration opening soon.
