Ong looks like the man to beat after another convincing run at the recent Tam Dao Mountain Trail in northern Vietnam. The latest Sout heast Asia n countr y to embrace trail running, Vietnam is quickly attracting runners from across the region to its recently developed events. The Vietnam Jungle Marathon, first r un in May t his yea r, in t he Pu Luong Nat u re Res e r ve , 14 0 kms out hwest of Hanoi, is another gem. Its 70-km course a l lows competitors t he opportunit y to discover a remote area of Vietnam still untouched by mass tourism – the perfect scenario for a successful destination race.
