Bound to succeed
SIXTY-SIX TEAMS OF FOUR SWEATED IT out in the 18th Outward Bound Hong Kong, taking on steep trails, hills and water challenges. An annual endurance event, the race offered two route options of 14.5km and 19km for elites. Highlight of this year’s course was the paddling leg from Deep Water Bay to South Bay with mystery tasks thrown in along the way. Team Cores took the Elite category in 3 hours 23 minutes and 5 seconds, while Master Frog Men claimed victory in the shorter race, with a finishing time of 3 hours 2 minutes and 51 seconds. The funds raised by Outward Bound Hong Kong will subsidise underprivileged youth to join Outward Bound courses to strengthen their personal growth. Next year’s race is already scheduled for March 3, 2019.
