SIXTY-SIX TEAMS OF FOUR SWEATED IT out in the 18th Out­ward Bound Hong Kong, tak­ing on steep trails, hills and wa­ter chal­lenges. An an­nual en­durance event, the race of­fered two route op­tions of 14.5km and 19km for elites. High­light of this year’s course was the pad­dling leg from Deep Wa­ter Bay to South Bay with mys­tery tasks thrown in along the way. Team Cores took the Elite cat­e­gory in 3 hours 23 min­utes and 5 sec­onds, while Mas­ter Frog Men claimed vic­tory in the shorter race, with a fin­ish­ing time of 3 hours 2 min­utes and 51 sec­onds. The funds raised by Out­ward Bound Hong Kong will sub­sidise un­der­priv­i­leged youth to join Out­ward Bound cour­ses to strengthen their per­sonal growth. Next year’s race is al­ready sched­uled for March 3, 2019.
