Train hard, eat right in Bali
SET IN THE RICE PADDY LANDSCAPES OF Ba l i, t he per for mance t ra i ni ng workshop designed by Como Shambhala and running on September 24-30 will immerse guests in a week of intensive fitness and nutrition. Physical activities are led by Jim Lubinski, a triathlete and Ironman coach, so don’t expect an easy-paced workout! The high-intensity exercise will combine running on the beach, swimming in the ocean, hiking Mt Abang (third highest peak on Bali), HIIT on the grass and strength training in the gym. More restorative practices such as yoga, aqua therapy, pilates, performance breathing and stretching can be incorporated to build on the gains in athletic endurance, balance and agility. Registered nutritionist Eve Persak will be on standby to guide all participants through educational sessions on t he nutrition side, focusing on topics like fuelling recovery, eating for energy efficiency, athlete-oriented cleansing and fasting, and nutraceutical superfoods and supplements.
