100 Boe­ing 737 to be re­fit into cargo planes

The Kun­lun Com­mer­cial Air­craft and Hainan Air­lines Group held a sign­ing cer­e­mony in the Wuhan Eco­nomic and Tech­no­log­i­cal De­vel­op­ment Zone on May 9 to trans­form 100 Boe­ing 737 air­craft into cargo planes in Wuhan. The an­nual re­fit­ting ca­pac­ity of this project will be 24 planes, an es­ti­mated yearly out­put value of RMB 2.9 bil­lion. The project will take use of Han­nan Gen­eral Avi­a­tion Air­port.

The 100 Boe­ing 737s, ap­prox­i­mately 15 years old, mainly come from Hainan Air­lines Group. Af­ter the trans­for­ma­tion work, they will be de­liv­ered to the cargo com­pany at­tached to Hainan Air­lines Group, ac­cord­ing to Jiang Hong, chair­man of Kun­lun Com­mer­cial Air­craft.
