Wuhan to pro­mote in­tan­gi­ble cul­tural her­itage

Re­cently, the Wuhan Mu­nic­i­pal Bureau of Cul­ture an­nounced 70 ac­tiv­i­ties for the Wuhan 2018 Cul­tural and Nat­u­ral Her­itage Day that will fall on June 9.

The main ac­tiv­i­ties will be held at Jiqing Street on June 9. They in­clude a spe­cial per­for­mance about in­tan­gi­ble cul­tural her­itage, an ex­hi­bi­tion of hand­i­crafts, and a chil­dren's draw­ing on a 100-me­ter-long scroll. In­tan­gi­ble cul­tural her­itage in­her­i­tors, in­clud­ing mas­ters of pa­per cut­ting and fa­cial plas­tics, will participate in the ac­tiv­i­ties.

The beauty of the in­tan­gi­ble cul­tural her­itage of Wuhan will also be shared at home and abroad. Wuhan's three na­tional-level folk art projects will be per­formed in Tian­jin be­tween June 7 and 14. Cul­tural ex­change ac­tiv­i­ties about Han em­broi­dery, Wuhan pa­per cut­ting, Su Heng­tai pa­per um­brella, and Wuhan clay sculp­ture will also be held in Nigeria.
