U.K.-Wuhan Design Month art exhibitions
A range of events under the framework of the U.K.Wuhan Design Month was launched in Wuhan on May 24 and will continue for one month. Among the many events are two art exhibitions open to the public.
An ongoing exhibition titled "Hidden Design" is at Wuhan Tiandi's Horizon Plaza. The exhibition focuses on photos of th e Ch inese and British -style traditional architecture in Wuh an, like th e Tanh ualin residences and the Hankou Customs Building.
Another component of the exhibition will be live sketchings. These, based on the photos on display, will be drawn by art students from Wuhan University of Technology during the exhibition.
"We are going to use these photographs for the live sketchings and the public will be able to submit photographs about Wuhan as well," said Paul James, teacher at Wuhan University of Technology.
The other exhibition will be held at K11 in Optics Valley from June 9 to 23. Included will be over 30 works created by students at Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creative Arts (BIFCA). This institute was co-built by Wuhan Textile University and Birmingham City University.
