A painter's vi­sion of life in Wuhan

Yoann de Ran­court, a French re­searcher work­ing at Wuhan In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy (WIT), is a self-made painter who takes paint­ing as a life pas­sion. Ini­tially guided by his mother, Ran­court has been paint­ing for thir­teen years. He has com­pleted over 20 paint­ings in Wuhan, for which he draws in­spi­ra­tion from places like Tan­hualin, streets he has vis­ited, peo­ple he has met on cam­pus, and lo­cal friends he has made. For each paint­ing, he also pro­vided back­ground in­for­ma­tion. The fol­low­ing four are some of th­ese paint­ings.
