Wuhan's first road to honor sci­en­tist

Li Shizhen Road of­fi­cially opened to traf­fic in the Bi­o­lake, Op­tics Valley, on Au­gust 23. It is the first road in Wuhan that has been named af­ter an an­cient med­i­cal sci­en­tist.

This year marks the 500th birth­day of Li Shizhen, a med­i­cal sci­en­tist and phar­ma­cist of the Ming dy­nasty.

The road is 680 me­ters in length and nine me­ters wide.
