5th International Drama Season to begin
The 5th International Drama Season at Zhongnan Theater will go from September through December, bringing in 19 dramas from home and abroad to local audiences.
Among in the international live dramas are the Japanese version of "Journey to the West," the Spanish mime show "Andre and Dorine," and a Brazilian show "Salina, the Last Vertebra."
Also included is an array of performances specifically designed for children. These performances are "Martha," a Sino-U.K. cooperative program, "Time for Fun," a physical show from Saint Petersburg Plastic Hands Theater, and "Elisapee and the Northern Lights," a Canadian play featuring live music and shadow theater.
Nine internationally celebrated plays will be brought to the audience via HD films. They include Shakespeare's Globe Theater's "Twelfth Night," the Royal Opera House's "The Magic Flute," the National Theater's "Angels in America" and "Follies," Royal Shakespeare Company's "Macbeth," and Stage Russia HD's "The Three Sisters."
Four domestic plays, namely, a Chinese version of "Blithe Spirit," the musical "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils," a puppet show called "Teenager Confucius" and a drama named "Wang Hebo" both by Wuhan People's Art Theater will also show during the drama season.
