Wuhan snacks sold in 20 countries
Bestore, a local snack retailer, has entered the markets of 20 countries including Australia, France, the U.K. and the U.S. with more than 1 00 kinds of delicious snacks so far. The company announced the news on August 27.
Small packages of snacks less than 30 kilograms are delivered directly to consumers through e-commerce platforms such as Tmall, JD and Amazon via a cross-border logistics system. Through overseas distributors, consumers can buy the snacks in convenience stores or in Chinese markets in some countries.
Our reporter has seen in the Bestore Tmall flagship store that the popular list for snacks includes: braised lotus root of Hubei's Honghu, the stinky tofu of Changsha, crispy fried rice crust of Shanxi, spicy dry strips of Hunan and the rice wine of Hubei's Xiaogan.
A few years ago, Hubei Shendan Healthy Food Company also began exporting their products, such as preserved and salted eggs, to Australia, Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, the U.S., and other countries.
