500th China-Europe freight train de­parts Wuhan

The freight train X8017/8 loaded with elec­tronic com­po­nents, gar­ments, daily ne­ces­si­ties and elec­tronic prod­ucts, pro­duced by en­ter­prises in Wuhan and the cities in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta re­gions, set off from Wu­ji­ashan Sta­tion and headed for Ham­burg, Ger­many, on Au­gust 31. This was the 500th China-Europe freight train de­part­ing from Wuhan since it be­gan op­er­a­tions on Oc­to­ber 24, 2012.

The China-Europe freight trains trans­port not only in­dus­trial prod­ucts man­u­fac­tured in Wuhan and other cities in Hubei, in­clud­ing op­to­elec­tronic prod­ucts, mo­bile phones and gar­ments, to Euro­pean and Asian coun­tries, but also agri­cul­tural prod­ucts. The craw­fish from Jingzhou and Qian­jiang as well as Yichang or­anges have be­come more pop­u­lar among Euro­peans.
