Univer­sity wel­comes fresh­men with new treats

Over 4,000 fresh­men com­ing from all over the coun­try to the Changjiang Polytech­nic Col­lege on Septem­ber 4got a lot of sur­prises with var­i­ous gifts at the reg­is­tra­tion site.

The teach­ers and se­nior stu­dents wore tra­di­tional Chi­nese cloth­ing like cheongsam and hanfu to wel­come the new­com­ers. The fresh­men from afar tasted de­li­cious moon cakes and var­i­ous kinds of health teas, as well as sam­pled skin care prod­ucts and cos­met­ics. The hand creams, soaps, lip­sticks and other skin care prod­ucts were hand-made by stu­dents us­ing the school's phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal equip­ment. The dif­fer­ent kinds of moon cakes are pro­duced by the teach­ers and stu­dents from the food qual­ity and safety de­part­ment.

Fresh­men said that they came to have a clear vi­sion about their ma­jor and fu­ture ca­reer di­rec­tion af­ter they had re­ceived th­ese hand-made gifts.
