Wuhan Open be­gins to­day

The Wuhan Open's two-day qual­i­fy­ing will be­gin Septem­ber 21 and end be­fore the main star-stud­ded event starts on Septem­ber 23.

This year's Wuhan Open will host all four of 2018's reign­ing Grand Slam sin­gles cham­pi­ons, in­clud­ing newly-crowned U.S. Open win­ner Naomi Osaka, this year's Aus­tralian Open cham­pion Caro­line Woz­ni­acki, Roland Gar­ros win­ner Si­mona Halep and Wim­ble­don cham­pion An­gelique Ker­ber.

In to­tal the en­try list boasts ten Grand Slam sin­gles cham­pi­ons with a to­tal of 21 Grand Slam sin­gles ti­tles among them.

Mean­time, the tour­na­ment re­cently awarded wild­card in­vi­ta­tions to Chi­nese No.2 Wang Qiang Wang, former U.S. Open cham­pion Saman­tha Sto­sur, ris­ing Amer­i­can star Bernarda Pera and Chi­nese fan fa­vorite Zheng Sai­sai.
