Changjiang Weekly - - SOCIETY - By Wu Wei

On Sept. 16, the first China-Italy Medical Culture Week opened in Wuhan. More than 20 top medical experts from 10 university hospitals in Italy gathered with over 200 medical workers from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Hainan, Henan, Hunan and Hubei provinces for academic exchanges.

China-Italy medical culture exchanges began in 1997. Over the past 20 years, medical workers from Renmin Hospital and Italian medical institutions have visited each other frequently.

During this cultural week, Renmin Hospital and Humanits University will sign an agreement to further deepen cooperation. Many cultural exchange activities will also be organized, display traditional Chinese culture to the Italian experts, such as Peking Opera performance, folk music and Chinese calligraphy.
