Changjiang Weekly - - SOCIETY - By Zhou Manzhen

Thirty-one-year-old French teacher Yoann spent his third Teachers' Day at Wuhan Institute of Technology. Besides doing professional research on sustainable green energy, he has created 23 paintings out of inspirations sparked by his life in Wuhan. He said, "My biggest wish is to hold a painting exhibition in Wuhan."

Several years ago when still a doctoral student in France, Yoann got to know a Chinese girl Jin Xiaoyun from Hubei province, who later became his wife. After graduation, the couple came to teach at Wuhan Institute of Technology. In Wuhan, painting provides Yoann with some sort of spiritual sustenance. He paints the people he meets and the places he visits such as Tanhualin, Wuhan Botanic Garden, and other streets of various styles.
