Sino-Jor­da­nian univer­sity to set­tle in Op­tics Val­ley

On the sign­ing cer­e­mony of the In­ter­na­tional In­no­va­tion and En­trepreneur­ship Base to be co-built by the China Univer­sity of Geo­sciences (Wuhan) and the Wuhan East Lake High-tech De­vel­op­ment Zone on Septem­ber 28, it was an­nounced that the Chi­nese cam­pus of a yet-to-be-named Si­noJor­da­nian univer­sity would set­tle in Op­tics Val­ley.

China and Jordan signed an agree­ment to jointly build this new univer­sity in 2015. The univer­sity will fo­cus on train­ing tal­ent for so­cial and eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment in China and other coun­tries along the Belt and Road.

An area north of Jincheng Street in the Fu­ture City to the east of Kuail­ing West Road in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech De­vel­op­ment Zone will be used as univer­sity land. It is de­signed to have more than 2,000 in­ter­na­tional stu­dents.
