Sino-Jordanian university to settle in Optics Valley
On the signing ceremony of the International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base to be co-built by the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone on September 28, it was announced that the Chinese campus of a yet-to-be-named SinoJordanian university would settle in Optics Valley.
China and Jordan signed an agreement to jointly build this new university in 2015. The university will focus on training talent for social and economic development in China and other countries along the Belt and Road.
An area north of Jincheng Street in the Future City to the east of Kuailing West Road in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone will be used as university land. It is designed to have more than 2,000 international students.
