French pian­ist Richard Clay­der­man, the best-known for­eign pop pian­ist in China, will stage a recital on Satur­day. Clay­der­man’s easy-lis­ten­ing pop­u­lar mu­sic or re­arrange­ments of clas­si­cal mu­sic has made him fa­mous all over the world, es­pe­cially in Asia. He staged his de­but con­cert in China in 1992 and has re­ar­ranged and per­formed many pieces of Chi­nese mu­sic. His hits, in­clud­ing Bal­lade pour Ade­line, ex­posed many Chi­nese to the charm of pi­ano mu­sic in the 1980s and 1990s. 8 pm, Jan 11.
