China has long­est high-speed rail­ways

The na­tion’s high-speed rail­ways reached 11,028 kilo­me­ters in 2013, the long­est in the world, and half of the world’s to­tal, Xin­hua News Agency re­ported. Mean­while, the mileage un­der con­struc­tion reached 12,000 kilo­me­ters, which is also the most in the world. The length of high-speed rails in other coun­tries and re­gions has reached 11,605 kilo­me­ters, ac­cord­ing to the sta­tis­tics from In­ter­na­tional Union of Rail­ways.
