Ur­ban pa­trol of­fi­cer sacked over scan­dal

An ur­ban pa­trol of­fi­cer in Guangyuan was re­moved from of­fice be­cause he got money by hold­ing a ban­quet to cel­e­brate his mov­ing to a new house, Chengdu Commercial Daily re­ported on Thurs­day. Yan Yong­ping, di­rec­tor of the city’s ur­ban man­age­ment bureau, was pun­ished by the city’s Party dis­ci­pline com­mit­tee af­ter he re­ceived 43,000 yuan ($6,900) from his sub­or­di­nates.
