Equities end lower ahead of economic data release
China’s stocks fell on Thursday for the first time this week ahead of the release of economic data, including industrial output and retail sales. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.2 percent to 2,051.71. “The data to be released [on Friday] won’t surprise on the upside and may even show some weakness,” saidWeiWei, an analyst atWest China Securities Co in Shanghai. The CSI 300 Index declined 0.3 percent to 2,153.41.
