Almost one- quarter of employers in China who took part in a survey said they are experiencing talent shortages. But that’s down by 11 percentage points from a year earlier, according to ManpowerGroup Inc.

Employers face an “acute shortage” of senior managers who speak English and Chinese, are willing to relocate and are familiar with local Chinese business practices, said Zhang Jinrong, managing director of ManpowerGroup China.

Manpower’s survey covered more than 37,000 employers in 42 countries and regions, including 1,642 on the Chinese mainland. (Photo 2)
