Murder suspect flees to find nicer police
A man suspected of murdering his wife in Pingchang county fled about 1,400 kilometers to his hometown in Jurong city, Jiangsu, and turned himself in because he believed the police there would treat him well. The man, surnamed Yang, killed his wife on July 21 with a knife after a quarrel, according to the Pingchang police. Yang arrived in Jurong after 10 days and turned himself in to police on Sunday. He said he took the trip because he thought the police of his hometown were nicer than the police of Pingchang. He has now been transferred to the custody of Pingchang authorities.
