Four ex-of­fi­cials probed by pros­e­cu­tors for graft

Four for­mer Chi­nese of­fi­cials are be­ing in­ves­ti­gated for al­leged bribery and abuse of power, the Supreme Peo­ple’s Procu­ra­torate said Thurs­day. Liu Qingcheng, for­mer pres­i­dent and deputy Party chief of the East China In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy, is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated on sus­pi­cion of ac­cept­ing bribes. The other three of­fi­cials, all for­mer pro­vin­cial depart­ment-level of­fi­cials, are Ma Weil­ing of Guang­dong prov­ince, Liu Hong­tao of He­nan prov­ince, and Song Shi­gang of Gansu prov­ince.
