Mobile healthcare site gets money to expand
Spring Rain, China’s leading mobile healthcare company, has finished its Series C financing totaling $50 million, and its registered users are expected to total 100 million by the end of 2015, according to its CEO.
“The funds will be used for increasing the numbers of registered users and doctors,” said Zhang Rui, CEO of Beijing Spring Rain Software Co Ltd, which specializes in a mobile health applications.
The site has 30 million registered users and 40,000 signed doctors.
Users can access any doctor free for advice, and Spring Rain pays the bill. Advice from a particular doctor costs from 6 yuan (97 cents) to 999 yuan.
China has more than 100 companies engaged in mobile healthcare business or planning to develop them.
