Ex-employee suspected of setting factory fire
A 30-year-old migrant worker in Yongkang, Zhejiang province, was arrested recently on suspicion of setting fire to the factory where he had worked. The man was angry after claiming he hadn’t been paid what he was owed, Qianjiang Evening News reported on Thursday. The worker, from Hunan province and surnamed Wu, returned to the factory in October asking for wages he said were due when he resigned, but was turned away by the boss. The next day, Wu is suspected of setting the blaze, which resulted in losses totaling more than 1 million yuan ($163,000).
