Ex-em­ployee sus­pected of set­ting fac­tory fire

A 30-year-old mi­grant worker in Yongkang, Zhe­jiang prov­ince, was ar­rested re­cently on sus­pi­cion of set­ting fire to the fac­tory where he had worked. The man was angry after claim­ing he hadn’t been paid what he was owed, Qian­jiang Evening News re­ported on Thurs­day. The worker, from Hu­nan prov­ince and sur­named Wu, re­turned to the fac­tory in Oc­to­ber ask­ing for wages he said were due when he re­signed, but was turned away by the boss. The next day, Wu is sus­pected of set­ting the blaze, which re­sulted in losses to­tal­ing more than 1 mil­lion yuan ($163,000).
