Nan­jing im­poses fire­works ban

Fire­works will be banned in main ar­eas ofNan­jing, Jiangsu prov­ince, as of Jan 1, theNan­jing Daily re­ported. Fire­works sales are out­lawed en­tirely in Xuanwu, Qin­huai, Jianye, Gu­lou and Yuhu­atai, and in part of the Qixia, Jiangn­ing, Pukou and Li­uhe dis­tricts. The move is to im­prove the city’s air qual­ity.
