Jaycee Chan sentenced on drug charges

Jaycee Chan, son of Chi­nese kung fu su­per­star Jackie Chan, pleaded guilty to drug charges was sentenced to six months in prison and fined two thou­sand yuan ($322).

Chen Zum­ing (Jaycee Chan’s real name) did not ob­ject to pros­e­cu­tor’s charges and pleaded guilty.

“I made a mis­take, I know what I did was wrong. I should have fol­lowed the law,” Chan said on Fri­day at the Dongcheng Dis­trict Peo­ple’s Court in Beijing,

Chan was de­tained by Beijing po­lice for drug of­fences on Au­gust 14, 2014, with Tai­wan­based ac­tor Kai Ko Chen-tung. Chan and Ko tested pos­i­tive for mar­i­juana and both ad­mit­ted to hav­ing taken the drug. Po­lice seized more than 100 grams of mar­i­juana from Chan’s home.
