Jaycee Chan sentenced on drug charges
Jaycee Chan, son of Chinese kung fu superstar Jackie Chan, pleaded guilty to drug charges was sentenced to six months in prison and fined two thousand yuan ($322).
Chen Zuming (Jaycee Chan’s real name) did not object to prosecutor’s charges and pleaded guilty.
“I made a mistake, I know what I did was wrong. I should have followed the law,” Chan said on Friday at the Dongcheng District People’s Court in Beijing,
Chan was detained by Beijing police for drug offences on August 14, 2014, with Taiwanbased actor Kai Ko Chen-tung. Chan and Ko tested positive for marijuana and both admitted to having taken the drug. Police seized more than 100 grams of marijuana from Chan’s home.
