CRCC ‘still on track’ for $3.75b Mexico project
China Railway Construction Corp looks set to win a contract to build a $3.75 billionMexican high-speed train system, even though its original winning bid was revoked, said sources with knowledge of the bidding process. Mexico was expected on Wednesday to reveal the fresh bid terms for the project linkingMexico City with the industrial city of Queretaro, which was meant to be one of Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto’s flagship infrastructure investments. CRCC said it was confident of winning. In the initial tender, Statebacked lender Export-Import Bank of China agreed to finance 85 percent of the project.
