Survey stresses on need for CSR

A re­port by Suzhou In­dus­trial Park has re­vealed that over 80 per­cent of com­pa­nies be­lieve cor­po­rate so­cial re­spon­si­bil­ity can help foster a bet­ter company im­age, ac­cord­ing to cppcc.peo­ple.com.cn. The study was con­ducted over eight months and based on 24 on­site company in­ter­views and 500 ques­tion­naires. It showed that 81.2 per­cent of company ex­ec­u­tives thought CSR helps cre­ate a good company im­age, achieve longert­erm de­vel­op­ment and im­prove business re­la­tions. The study ex­am­ined four ar­eas, which were staff care, phi­lan­thropy, en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion and business in­tegrity.
