Sichuan lifts property curbs to boost sales
Sichuan province will remove restrictions on home purchases and housing prices to further stimulate domestic consumption, hexun.com reported on Tuesday. The Sichuan housing and urban-rural development bureau said the province is expected to have overall real estate investment of about 480 billion yuan ($77.29 billion) this year, a year-on-year growth of 10 percent. Restrictions on the number of small units of under 90 square meters in a residential community will also be lifted. The number of such small-sized houses was earlier capped at 70 percent of the total houses.
