Price set for coal sold to power firms

The top four coal com­pa­nies in China have de­cided to set a bench­mark price of 520 yuan ($83.56) per metric ton for the coal sup­plied to the power sec­tor in 2015, data provider DZH said, cit­ing coal in­dus­try sources. The decision was made at a con­fer­ence jointly held by China Coal Trans­porta­tion and Sales So­ci­ety and China’s four coal gi­ants, namely Shen­hua, Chi­naCoal, Yi­tai, and Da­tong Coal, on Tues­day.
