$5m donated to vaccine alliance
China made its first donation of $5 million on Tuesday to the Global Alliance forVaccines and Immunization to help immunize 300 million children in poor countries against deadly diseases. It’s part of a $7.5 billion donation by international donors, including national governments and charity organizations. Major donors include theUnited States, Norway andGermany. China was a recipient of the assistance early in the last decade and now has become a donor.
