More than 500,000 cars re­called

China’s auto watchdog is re­call­ing more than 500,000 cars for prob­lems in­clud­ing ig­ni­tion but­tons that stick , airbags that tear and po­ten­tially harm pas­sen­gers.

The Gen­eral Ad­min­is­tra­tion of Qual­ity Su­per­vi­sion, In­spec­tion and Quar­an­tine an­nounced the re­call.

The re­calls are for the Sunny, Syl­phy, Ti­ida and Venu­cia e30 mod­els by Dongfeng Mo­tor Co; Toy­ota’s Vios, Yaris, Corolla and Corolla EX mod­els; Nissan’s Teana, Pal­adin and X-Trail; and Mit­subishi’s Lancer Evo­lu­tion and Zinger.

The na­tion’s watchdog will also launch a cam­paign to im­prove the af­ter-sales ser­vices of auto com­pa­nies.
