New Zealand tourism gets a strategic boost
A strategic alliance has been agreed between AirNewZealand and Air China, to boost the southern hemisphere country’s tourism sector. NZ TransportMinister Simon Bridges said the two carriers started negotiations on the alliance during Chinese PresidentXi Jinping’s state visit to NewZealand inNovember last year. Bridges said it would allow a newservice to compete with existing ones operated by rivals China Southern, China Eastern and Cathay Pacific. giant to halt construction of part of its newlarge refinery in Yunnan province, a company official said on Wednesday. TheMinistry of Environmental Protection approved the impact assessment document for the refinery in July 2012, but discovered that PetroChina had changed the design without making a newassessment, according to a statement of the ministry.
