Macao casinos hit as high rollers stay away

China Daily (Canada) - - BUSINESS -

Macao’s casino revenue fell for the 18th straight month inNovember, as the Chinese government’s moves to curb illicit money flows from the mainland deterred the high-stakes players who rely on junket promoters for betting loans. Gross gaming revenue fell 32.3 percent month-onmonth to 16.4 billion patacas ($2.1 billion), taking the overall fall so far this year to 35.3 percent. that members of the association representing its reservations and gate agents had approved a newfive-year contract that includes “immediate and significant pay raises”. The world’s largest airline had agreed in September to a tentative contract that was put to vote with the unions that jointly represent the workers.
