The civil suit against Somarco, its co-owners BHP and Brazilian giant Vale SA as well as Brazil’s federal government and the two states affected by the dam spill, is the result of a six-month investigation by local authorities, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. deteriorated due to both less favorable assessments of the current economic situation and slightly more skeptical business expectations. In addition, the report said that the sixmonth economic outlook is slightly less positive in most countries than last quarter, and that the dynamic of the economic upswing is to remain moderate.
