On­line ser­vices may reach $10 tril­lion in rev­enue

China’s internet ser­vices have a po­ten­tial of gen­er­at­ing around $10 tril­lion of rev­enue by the end of 2020, Gold­man Sachs said in a re­search note.

This means “im­mense on­line profit op­por­tu­nity” of around $70 bil­lion in the same pe­riod,” the in­vest­ment bank said.

The note high­lighted internet gi­ants Ten­cent Hold­ings Ltd, Baidu Inc and Alibaba GroupHold­ings Ltd, as well as on­line ser­vice sites such as Ctrip.com, JD.com and vip.com.
