NZ sees sustained rise of tourism sector
New Zealand continued to see extended high season inMay, tourism authorities said onWednesday. The country registered a steady rise in tourist arrivals with year-todate international visitor growth of 10.6 percent compared with the previous 12 months. Authorities reported that Tourism New Zealand’s prioritized top six markets showed holiday growth of between 9.1 percent from Australia to 31.4 percent from China. Tourism New Zealand’s Chief Executive Kevin Bowler said he sees the figures as a confirmation of a successful autumn tourism period.
