Bul­gar­ian gross do­mes­tic prod­uct up

Bul­garia’s gross do­mes­tic prod­uct grew by 3.4 per­cent year-on-year in the third quar­ter of 2016, of­fi­cial data showed. The GDP at cur­rent prices was $14.465 bil­lion, or about $2,000 per per­son, ac­cord­ing to pre­lim­i­nary data re­leased by the coun­try’s Na­tional Sta­tis­ti­cal In­sti­tute. Ex­ports and im­ports of goods and ser­vices in­creased by 9.5 per­cent and 7.5 per­cent re­spec­tively com­pared with the same pe­riod of last year, the NSI fig­ures showed. Bul­garia’s GDP grew by 3 per­cent year-on-year in 2015, 1.6 per­cent in 2014, 1.3 per­cent in 2013, and 0.2 per­cent in 2012.
