Bangladesh in­fla­tion drops to 5.03 per­cent

Bangladesh’s in­fla­tion dropped to a more than four-year low of 5.03 per­cent in De­cem­ber, data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Sta­tis­tics showed onWed­nes­day. In­fla­tion in De­cem­ber eased to its low­est since July 2012, when the coun­try reg­is­tered a 5.01 per­cent in­fla­tion rate. Bangladesh’s in­fla­tion in De­cem­ber last year eased as both food and non-food prices ebbed. The De­cem­ber in­fla­tion com­pared with 5.38 per­cent in in­fla­tion in Novem­ber. The BBS data showed the coun­try’s food in­fla­tion in De­cem­ber dipped to 5.38 per­cent from 5.41 per­cent in Novem­ber.
