CCTF gives insurance to poor rural kids
The China Children and Teenagers’ Foundation has launched the latest round of insurance coverage for disadvantaged children in rural areas. The Carefree Children’s Insurance event on Jan 5 in Beijing was jointly organized by the Shanghai Insurance Exchange Institute and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Impoverished children, particularly of parents who have migrated to cities for work, will benefit most from the scheme, said a CCTF spokesperson. The CCTF’s charity program will also provide further assistance to such children in terms of education, health and safety.
