CCTF gives in­sur­ance to poor ru­ral kids

The China Chil­dren and Teenagers’ Foun­da­tion has launched the lat­est round of in­sur­ance cov­er­age for dis­ad­van­taged chil­dren in ru­ral ar­eas. The Care­free Chil­dren’s In­sur­ance event on Jan 5 in Bei­jing was jointly or­ga­nized by the Shang­hai In­sur­ance Ex­change In­sti­tute and Shang­hai Pudong Devel­op­ment Bank. Im­pov­er­ished chil­dren, par­tic­u­larly of par­ents who have mi­grated to cities for work, will ben­e­fit most from the scheme, said a CCTF spokesper­son. The CCTF’s char­ity pro­gram will also pro­vide fur­ther as­sis­tance to such chil­dren in terms of ed­u­ca­tion, health and safety.
