Iris data system starts operation

China Daily (Canada) - - BUSINESS -

The Anti-lost IrisNetwork Platform for Chinese Kids was established in April to help prevent hijacking and find lost children. The ChinaNational Committee for theWellbeing of the Youth, one of the organizers, said they planned to set up more than 2,000 working stations around the country by 2019, where parents can bring their children under 12 years old to have their iris data uploaded. Wang Shiping, general manager of Zhaobao Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the company that provided technical support for the platform, said iris recognition was more stable and accurate than fingerprinting or face recognition.
