Rural schools to get libraries
Some 10,000 homeowners organized by real estate company Sunac ChinaHoldings Limited ran 100 million steps for cash to donate libraries to six schools in rural areas of southwestern China’s Guizhou province in late April. The event was held in six cities on the same day. A Sunac China employee said the libraries would be equipped with more than 1,000 books, several computers and teaching aids. Attendees also wrote down suggested books for the company to buy. It will send books and audio poems to children living in the mountainous areas of Guizhou in June.
