Myan­mar per­mits 26 more en­ter­prises

Myan­mar has per­mit­ted 26 more in­vest­ment en­ter­prises, cre­at­ing some 940 job op­por­tu­ni­ties re­cently, of­fi­cial me­dia re­ported on Wed­nes­day. The 26 en­ter­prises in­clude seven lo­cal en­ter­prises and 19 for­eign-owned en­ter­prises in sec­tors of in­dus­try, live­stock breed­ing, con­struc­tion, trans­port and com­mu­ni­ca­tion, ho­tel, tourism and elec­tric­ity gen­er­a­tion. In 2017-18 pe­riod, over $3.67 bil­lion of in­vest­ments of 112 for­eign en­ter­prises had en­tered the coun­try, in­clud­ing that in Thi­lawa Special Eco­nomic Zone. Also, Myan­mar In­vest­ment Com­mis­sion has per­mit­ted 40 do­mes­tic en­ter­prises in the same fis­cal year 2017-18.
